Our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service is run by Columba Cottage. Families wanting to use these services will need to enrol their child/ren for OSHC, on either a casual or permanent basis. Families are often eligible for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to offset OSHC fees. We encourage families to complete the Child Care Subsidy Assessment to understand their entitlements. Once CCS is applied, families will pay the gap fee, which is the difference between the full session fee and the CCS amount. The Columba Cottage Before School Care services operate from 6.30am to 8.30am, Monday to Friday, with breakfast between 7.00am and 7.30am. This service is run on the School campus and is available to all SCAS students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
Our After School Care service provides a warm welcome to students with nutritious afternoon tea snacks upon arrival. For students from Kindergarten to Year 2, we offer engaging activities through the OSHC program, including games and crafts. Students in Years 3 to 6 can participate in Homework Help from Monday to Thursday between 3.30pm and 4.30pm, guided by a qualified teacher. It's important to note that the library is unavailable after school for Primary Students not enrolled in Homework Help, and parents will be contacted to collect them.
OSHC provides two care options: short sessions until 4.30pm and full sessions until 6.00pm. To participate, children must be enrolled in OSHC, and prior booking is necessary.
