Student Resources and Belongings

Lockers

Lockers are provided for all students in Years 6 to 12, with Year 6 students receiving their locks from their class teacher. Secondary School students will be given their lock and combination code at the start of the school year or upon beginning their studies.

These lockers are intended for storing school supplies to support the students' learning. Usage of lockers should comply with the Student Behaviour Expectations. Students are reminded that lockers are not secure enough for valuables such as money or expensive items, and no food should be stored to prevent pest problems.

Students can only store their own belongings and must use only the locker assigned to them.  Any student found using a locker that is not assigned to them, will immediately lose this privilege. Moving a locker without permission from the Year Patron is also prohibited.

All lockers are property of St Columba Anglican School and must be treated with respect, without vandalism or defacement. Lockers may be inspected if there's suspicion of hazardous or unsafe contents.

Locks

The school maintains the combination codes for locks, which are securely stored in the Secondary Office. Students should keep their combination confidential and ensure their locker is secured before leaving.

Lost Property

To ensure that lost items can be returned to their rightful owner, we ask that all clothing and equipment be clearly labelled with your child’s full name (not just initials). Our Lost Property room, located next to the First Aid Clinic in Building 8, houses any found items until the end of each term.

The Lost Property room can only be accessed by students during Short Break. Parents are welcome to come and look for lost property at any time, but we would ask that you sign in at the Front Reception before proceeding to the Lost Property room.

Items such as lunchboxes, containers, and drink bottles found in the playground will be placed in Lost Property if they are clean and labelled. For health reasons, any items containing food will be discarded weekly to prevent mould and pests.

Unclaimed items will be donated to First Aid or Anglicare at the close of the school year.

Student ID Cards

All enrolled Secondary students receive a SCAS student ID Card as part of the enrolment process. The card is valid only while the student is enrolled and must be carried at all times on SCAS premises.

The Student ID Card is used for accessing printing and photocopying services as well as borrowing from the Library.

Secondary School students can also link their ID card to a My School Connect account for purchases at the School Canteen. For detailed instructions on linking your Student ID Card to My School Connect, please follow this handy guide.

Primary School students do not receive Student ID cards; instead, they are issued Library cards specifically for borrowing books. Primary students do not have access to a Student ID card to access funds at the School Canteen.
