Instrument Hire
Our Instrumental Program is very popular, with many students participating in one or more of our programs or taking private lessons on campus.
The Performing Arts Department offers a range of brass, woodwind, and stringed instruments for hire. Each instrument is supplied in excellent condition, along with any necessary accessories, such as mouthpieces, cleaning cloths, neck straps, shoulder rests, bows, and resin.

Music Instrument Hire Guidelines
- Instrument Hire is payable per semester through payments in Parent Portal.
- No hire fee monies will be refunded if an instrument is returned before the end of the semester.
- The hired instrument(s) are to be treated with due care at all times and, when not in use, securely stored.
- If an instrument is returned and the damage exceeds normal wear and tear, parents/carers will be expected to cover the cost of repairs.
- All hire fees are to be paid before collecting the hired instrument.
- When the hire instrument is no longer required, it is to be handed into the Performing Arts Department before the end of a semester.
- A semesters fee will be payable through the Parent Lounge payment portal if an instrument is retained after the beginning of the subsequent semester.
- Any loss, destruction or damage of a hired instrument must be immediately reported to the School, as well as any repair or maintenance requirements.
- It is the responsibility of parents to purchase instrument consumables (such as reeds, valve oil, cork grease, strings if they break). These items are available from Coastal Music. Please check with the Performing Arts team or the tutor if you are unsure which item to purchase.
